Giorgos Giakoumakis’s Greece squad and Bartosz Slisz’s Poland side are one win away from a spot in Euro 2024. Both are in the tournament’s qualifying play-off final on Tuesday, facing off against Georgia and Wales — respectively — with the winners advancing to the tournament proper.
Neither team had much trouble in their respective play-off semifinals on Thursday: Greece rolled past Kazakhstan 5-0 through four first-half goals as Giakoumakis came on as a 64th-minute substitute, while Slisz started and went the distance as Poland hammered 10-man Estonia 5-1.
While Poland will be playing for its 4th straight trip to the European Championship, it’s been a little bit of a longer wait for Greece, who won the tournament in 2004 but haven’t been back since 2012.

Giorgos subbed in for extra time, and was one of 2 players to miss in PKs for Georgia to go through.
Honestly think they would have been better off starting him, but he’ll be coming home frustrated at missing.
that means GG will be ready to run a full 90 for us this weekend and score another hat trick to appease his anger
Additionally, looks like Slisz went 120’ for Poland in another 0-0 game in which Poland won on penalties.
So we didnt come away completely unscathed.
Just get your asses back to the ATL in one piece, lads! And hurry up about it! We need you this weekend!
