Atlanta United is back home for the first time in a while, and it’s a derby match against Southeastern foes Nashville SC. With seven matches remaining, there’s very little margin for error for Atlanta. Clueless Joe

Wish I still cared as much as I used to, but I’m looking for a reason for optimism. Hopefully that will be here by next season.

Even though we’re still not where we need to be as a team (or organization), I’m still excited as long as we’re still contending for the playoffs/generally being competitive. It’s a low bar for sure, but it’s fun to have a goal to strive for and watch the standings and other results each week.

If the organization as a whole was just sitting on their hands and saying “oh well, it is what it is” I would probably feel the way you do. But to me, they’re making the moves necessary to get better in the future. And we can talk about WHEN certain moves should have been made.. but I think they’re trying to right the ship. Whether or not they achieve that goal remains to be seen.

Fair. I know they are trying to fix things and hold people accountable – as evidenced by firing Boca. But I’m pretty much in the Yoda school on that – do, or do not. There is no “try”.

I’ll need to see results on the field to lower my skepticism/pessimism.
