Silly season marches on as the Five Stripes continue making moves to set up what should be a busy offseason.
Real Salt Lake has agreed to a deal for Tyler Wolff from Atlanta United for $50k GAM. The 21-year-old winger from Snellville, Georgia recorded seven goals and an assist in 61 appearances for the Five Stripes. Tom Bogert was first to report the move.
Wolff joined the first team on a homegrown contract in 2020, but had his contract option declined when the club released its end-of-season roster moves a couple of weeks back. He ultimately signed a contract through 2026 with two option years ahead of his move to RSL.
With Wolff off the roster, the wings start to look like an area for strengthening. The first addition to the position is 17-year-old Ashton Gordon who joins from the 2s on a homegrown contract effective Jan. 1, 2025.

I wish we hadn’t signed Mosquera, and just gave Wolff a chance to develop instead.
good move. i am a fan but he’s plateaued here. hoping a fresh start helps him find the next gear.
I liked him and was happy to see him sub in on the few occasions. I never understood why the coaches didn’t give him more minutes, but I assume he wasn’t proving himself on the training field enough to supplant the rest.
Personally, I was a big fan of Wolff as I liked his ability to find spaces instead of just standing around on the wings. But he always seems to be injured or out for whatever reason. Not only that, while I think he was good, I don’t think he’s that “next level” the team has been looking for. He filled a slot when we needed him, but don’t think he’s the game changer that’ll help accelerate the team. Best of luck to him at RSL.
RSL does a really good job developing young players who need a fresh start or a chance to take the next big step. Wolff will do well there if he can keep showcasing his high defensive work rate, poacher mentality, and ability to receive the ball on quick field switches.
