Atlanta United vs New England Revolution: Preseason Match Thread and How to Watch

Atlanta United’s preseason stint at the IMG Academy is underway as of this week, where the squad will prepare for the start of the regular season by playing a series of friendlies against fellow MLS sides.

After a tight-lipped friendly against Orlando City on Wednesday, the Five Stripes now face the New England Revolution this afternoon in a slightly more public affair, with streaming and radio coverage available to follow the closed door match.

The live coverage (fingers crossed for quality) will finally allow for a first glimpse of Miguel Almirón playing for Atlanta once more. Other players like Stian Gregersen, Xande Silva, and Derrick Williams, depending on injury status, could also feature for an unknown amount of time after missing out on the action in Birmingham last weekend.

Now on their fourth preseason match, we could start seeing less of a mixed lineup of starters and depth from Ronny Deila as the team begins to be in a good place fitness wise and able to put more focus on tactics. Keep an eye on the lineups at the start of each half to spot which first teamers see the field at the same time.

This thread will be your match thread. We don’t have many rules here. We just ask that you don’t insult each other personally and treat each other with respect. Debates can get heated and that’s fine, but name-calling and petty insults will get you banned. If you see a comment that you feel is out of line, please report it and it will be dealt with.
