We’re still a while from NWSL Atlanta kicking off for the first time. But the club, ahead of its 2028 launch, is taking a page from Atlanta United’s playbook.
For a $50 deposit, fans can become Founding Members at the NWSL Atlanta website, which was launched on Tuesday. The club promises “VIP status to exclusive events, access to pre-sale opportunities, exclusive content & access, (and) guaranteed priority & pricing.”
On Atlanta United’s side, the first 5,000 fans to put down a deposit were considered Founding Members. Those who bought season tickets prior to the end of the club’s inaugural season gained that status as well. Founding Members also received cards that admitted them into all of the club’s home matches.
It’s obviously too early to tell what the specific benefits are for NWSL Atlanta. One would assume that Founding Members would get early access to club merchandise, as well as discounts for merchandise (for both Atlanta United and the NWSL team) sold down the road. We also don’t know if there will be special perks for those who are both Atlanta United and NWSL Atlanta Founding Members.
Still, for those who want to be first in the proverbial line when the club begins selling season tickets, becoming a Founding Member looks to be the way to go.
