The USWNT’s 2026 SheBelieves Cup roster will include a couple of players from Metro Atlanta.
Marietta’s Emily Sonnett and Roswell’s Riley Jackson were named to Emma Hayes’ 26-player roster, announced on Tuesday morning. This year’s edition of the annual invitation tournament includes Concacaf rival Canada for the fourth time in five years, along with a pair of second-timers in CONMEBOL duo Argentina and Colombia.
Of course, these matches are being played with an eye toward this fall’s W Championship, Concacaf’s qualifier for the Women’s World Cup. While the USWNT will be the runaway favorite to win the continental crown for a 10th time and secure passage to next year’s tournament — the four semifinalists qualify directly — they’ll want to be as sharp as possible, knowing that they can’t have a repeat of their Round of 16 crashout in penalties to Sweden in 2023.

SheBelieves Cup kicks off for the USWNT on March 1 as they face Argentina at Geodis Park in Nashville. Three days later, they’ll be at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field in Columbus to face Canada before finishing against Colombia at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison on March 7.
After the SheBelieves Cup, the USWNT returns to action with three matches against fellow power Japan, currently ranked eighth in the world. The U.S. and Nadeshiko meet at PayPal Park in San Jose on April 11, Lumen Field in Seattle on April 14, and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City on April 17.
