DD Sibrian is now officially a professional soccer player.
After impressing as a 15-year-old central midfielder alongside Cooper Sanchez and Javi Armas in 2025, Sibrian signed his first professional contract with Atlanta United. Sibrian made his 2s debut last June and ended the season with 10 starts over 12 appearances in MLS NEXT Pro. Though one of the youngest members of the team, he showed remarkable poise and composure in his midfield partnerships and emerged as a core player under Coach Jose Silva. He is very tidy on the ball, finishing 2025 with a 90% passing percentage, and does a lot of the busy work in midfield that supports a double pivot.
Sibrian’s strong play earned him a selection to the 2025 MLS NEXT All-Star match last July and his first call-up to El Salvador’s U-17 team for the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers this month.
“DD has excelled at every stage since joining our Academy, and we are excited to watch his development with Atlanta United 2,” said Atlanta United Director of Methodology Javier Peréz. “DD is another prime example of our continued growth and investment in our Player Pathway program, and he showed his quality last season with ATL UTD 2. We believe he is ready to take this next step and look forward to seeing him with the second team this season.”
Sibrian will play for Atlanta United 2 through the end of the 2027-2028 season, when he will be promoted to the first team as a Homegrown Player.
