Three matches, three losses for Atlanta United in 2026. Maybe the fourth time against the Philadelphia Union will be a charm?
Sydney, Tyler, Tommy, and Henry are back together to dive into the big storylines from Saturday’s 3-2 loss to Real Salt Lake at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It was an improved performance, yes. But, as we’ve seen with Atlanta, improved performances don’t always equate to wins.

My only comment here is, “who are the wackos that think the media is responsible for fixing the team?” Sydney’s comments took me by surprise because I wasn’t aware people have that attitude. You guys can ask questions, but it’s not like asking a question is going to make him rethink what he’s doing. He’s a professional and has been around a long time, and no offense to anyone doing interviews, but he’s not going to learn anything from US. He’s probably considered those options already (since it’s his full time job and all) and for whatever reason, those are the shots he’s called on purpose.
So I should clarify…
When things get tough (like now), fans tend to want to use the media to channel their frustration. As media, I think we’ve (collectively) been firm but fair with our questioning (i.e. the questions about Berrocal and Hoyos). So going out there with guns blazing doesn’t help anyone.
And you’re right – no question we ask is going to influence Tata’s decision-making 🙂
