Calling back a completely legitimate goal without VAR changed the outcome of the game. ELL hustled hard a few times but he has no creative movement off the ball. Get rid of him ASAP.

IMO
Reus was MOTM.
Pedro should’ve started over Baez. ELL is a train wreck on this team. Other than working really hard, Saba is just not good.
That goal should’ve counted, what in the world was that called back for? That call ruined this match.
So frustrating.

Replay of the call that took the goal away. Ridiculous

Not that it is any consolation, but I would assume MLS/PRo will review and announce the results during the week like they normally do with controversial calls. I know PRO releases a youtube video with any VAR calls.

I bet you are right. It doesn’t make anything better, but that ref should absolutely be reprimanded. He should’ve reviewed the video at the time. Ridiculous that we have the technology and he refused to use it.

Surprisingly, Hoyos gets a good rating from me. He kept us in this game, and the two goals, he was left on an island (and even saved one of them too). Defense, particularly Baez and Muyumba, get low marks for giving this one away. Berrocal gets a slight boost for scoring a goal that’s unrightfully removed, but still poor for his defense.

Miranchuk and Lath get low marks for being pretty invisible this game. High points to Saba for generally making things happen, Fortune for getting a goal, Cooper for also making things happen.

Agreed – the defense was slow to react to counter attacks from LA. After a couple of decent matches, Miranchuk took the night off, and ELL is an ongoing liability.
