USMNT vs Canada tonight, plus a look at how the Five Stripes fared in international play

Good morning, y’all! Jackson with you on this Tuesday as we get back into the swing of an Atlanta United matchweek as the international break wraps up.

The USMNT look to make it four wins in four tonight to end a busy window as they take on Jesse Marsch’s Canada up in Minnesota. An enthralling tres a cero victory for the Stars and Stripes has helped herald in a new crop of young up and coming talent, who will seek to impress once again against one of CONCACAF’s top foes. The match is set for an 8 pm ET kickoff at Allianz Field, with broadcasts found on TNT, truTV, HBO Max, Universo, and Peacock.

Atlanta United’s international call-ups have seen their own successes over the break, including a two goal performance from Miguel Almiron for Paraguay against Bolivia. Both he and Junior Alonso played the full 90 minutes in Paraguay’s 1-0 defeat of Colombia last Friday. Alexey Miranchuk played a combined 70 minutes for Russia across two matches, while Paulo Diaz featured last week for Chile against the USMNT in a brief outing during their 4-2 loss.

Stay tuned as we shift focus back to MLS action, with the live Scarves and Spikes podcast tomorrow night at 7 pm ahead of the Five Stripes meeting with FC Cincinnati this weekend in the Benz.
