Atlanta, Georgia – a.k.a. Soccer City, USA – continues to feature prominently in every level of the American soccer landscape. From the obvious success of Atlanta United and the building of U.S. Soccer’s new national training center to hosting events like SheBelieves Cup, Copa America, the 2025 Club World Cup, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Atlanta has become a shining and proud example of the beautiful game’s culture in a uniquely American way. Mercedes-Benz Stadium is as raucous as a fan could ask for, and groups regularly host events and watch parties all over the city for various away matches. And short of being in the stands, what better way to experience the joy and thrill of your favorite team than hanging with some buddies in a good soccer bar?
Atlanta can now chalk up another win for the culture as the city’s very own Brewhouse Cafe has been voted “America’s Best Soccer Bar” by the massive soccer network Men in Blazers. The Men in Blazers folks conducted a national search where over 16,000 bars across all 50 states were nominated for the award, and it was ultimately our very own Brewhouse that came out on top.
Atlanta United fans are likely intimately familiar with Brewhouse, a Little Five Points staple that has been around since 1997. In that time they’ve seen the rise and fall of other Atlanta soccer teams like the Ruckus, and later the Silverbacks, all while being the key location in the city to show up early on Saturdays to catch Premier League matches while sipping mimosas and chowing down on breakfast. Its cozy interior with football paraphernalia, stone fireplaces, and old world feel truly transports patrons to another location entirely. The drinks are wonderful, the food is tasty, and the atmosphere is unmatched.
As a pub partner of Atlanta United, the club has hosted a variety of events at the location over the years, but one of the most memorable – every year – is the Boxing Day tradition. Folks arrive early to trade scarves, sit by the fireplaces, and watch the full gamut of Premier League matches the day after Christmas. People are bound to run into otherwise familiar faces they typically only see during Atlanta United’s busy season, and the whole event just oozes revelry.
Brewhouse went up against stiff competition the nation over. Here are the top ten bars that made the cut before Brewhouse ultimately edged them all out.
- A.J. Hudson’s – Chicago, IL
- Amsterdam Tavern – St. Louis, MO
- Black Hart – St. Paul, MN
- Bluefoot Bar and Lounge – San Diego, CA
- Football Factory – New York, NY
- Goal PDX – Portland, OR
- Brewhouse Cafe – Atlanta, GA
- The Londoner – Addison, TX
- The Queen Vic – Washington, D.C.
- Villa Capri – Doylestown, PA
After being named America’s Best Soccer Bar by Men in Blazers, the guys will be hosting a live show at Brewhouse on Tuesday, March 25th to celebrate the bar and the wonderful culture that has made both it, and the city, the place for soccer in the United States. Mark your calendars and keep an eye out for more details.
Wonderful job, Atlanta, we’ve done it again! Let us know down below your thoughts and share some of your own memories from Brewhouse…we know y’all have plenty.
