Atlanta United entered Saturday’s match at Nashville SC as nothing short of underdogs, but they came out with all three points as they topped the Boys in Gold 1-0 at Geodis Park. That’s thanks to a rare Ronald Hernandez goal, courtesy of Steven Alzate’s first assist (in his first start for Atlanta), and a seven-save clean sheet for Jayden Hibbert, his second straight match in which he hasn’t allowed a goal. It’s Atlanta’s first win of the season away from Mercedes-Benz Stadium and their first in MLS play since May 28, a 3-2 win over Orlando City.
