Atlanta United take on the New England Revolution this evening
One thing to watch: Can Atlanta put together a 90-minute performance?
Atlanta United’s hope when they face the New England Revolution tonight? Carrying over the vibes of a 2-2 come-from-behind draw against Charlotte FC. After a difficult first half where they could have conceded at least three goals (in my opinion), they showed resilience we haven’t seen much of this season.
Cooper Sanchez: “We had some good moments in the first half, but I think it was just putting the ball in the back of the net, really going into the second half and coming together at halftime and saying, ‘We created chances. We know we can score goals. Why can’t we tie or win this game?’ So I think we did a great job of sticking together and getting two goals in the second half.”
Something else they haven’t shown all season long? An ability to put together a full 90-minute effort. It’s hard to point to a single match this year and say “Atlanta United was in this match from start to finish.” Maybe this is the night?
