The 2s hit the field today
Good morning, folks! It is 2s Day, possibly a news day, and one more sleep away from Atlanta United matchday against the Philadelphia Union.
The 2s are at the CHOA Training Ground at 4 p.m. to take on Carolina Core FC, a match originally scheduled to be played on the road. They have already broken the record for most wins in a season by an Atlanta United 2s team, so the sky is the limit for them. Will Arif Kovac add to his league-leading 15 goals and 3 assists? Probably.
If you prefer masochism, then the first team has you covered. The wooden spoon and spork contenders face off in Philadelphia (Chester) with very little on the line. Union is trending in the right direction at the perfect time to deepen Atlanta United’s humiliating season, so join us for what should be an excruciating road fixture.
And if you prefer seeing the club take a sledgehammer to the load-bearing wall as part of the comprehensive roster rebuild, today might be the day. Pedro Amador’s departure was made official yesterday, and rumors continue to swirl about Emmanuel Latte Lath, a new DP 9, and Mo Salah. Could today be the day for the next big summer window drop? Check the Scarves & Spikes transfer tracker for all of the latest updates.
