Atlanta United’s on the road again after another loss at home over the weekend, and this time visits the one team in the Eastern Conference lower than them in the table: CF Montreal.
Let’s begin with some head-to-head stats, courtesy of stats.scarvesandspikes.com:

The Five Stripes defeated Montreal by a 3-1 scoreline in the home fixture back in May, and hasn’t lost to the Canadian side since October of 2024. That’s great news for a team coming off of a woeful 3-1 home loss to FC Cincinnati, who now find themselves closer to the Wooden Spoon than the playoff line.
Let’s not get too carried away, though. Montreal faced Cincinnati just before the international break, defeating them 3-1 at home, and then looked to be on the road for another victory last weekend against Toronto FC before their arch-rivals scored twice in stoppage time to flip the script. Atlanta has also only ever won twice at Stade Saputo, once in 2018 and once in 2023, as well earning a playoff shootout win in 2024, for a 2-4-4 all time record.
As far as player availability goes, Will Reilly remains out with a lingering ankle injury, while Tomas Jacob will be sidelined after picking up a yellow card last weekend, putting him over the limit and earning him a one match suspension. Matt Edwards seems to be the next man up in the starting lineup.

Kickoff from Stade Saputo is set for 7:40 PM ET from Montreal. Streaming comes through Apple TV, and audio coverage is available on 92.9 The Game in English, while La Mejor is your go-to for Spanish radio.
