With the MLS season just weeks away and the 2026 World Cup kicking off in just a matter of months, Kevin Egan revealed some big news on Tuesday about his newest venture.

The MLS 360 host — and Atlanta United fan favorite — announced that he and his wife, Meg, are co-owners of The Irish Exit, an Irish bar that will open in Centennial Yards in the summer. It’s the bar’s second location, with the first opening at New York’s Moynihan Train Hall in 2023.

According to a report from December, The Irish Exit will take up 4,735 square feet of space, so there will be plenty of room for fans to stop by before and after the game. According to a release from the CIM Group, developer of Centennial Yards, the bar will “feature a flexible indoor-outdoor layout with garage-style doors, creating a vibrant, street-level experience that amplifies the district’s momentum as a destination for dining and entertainment.”

And The Irish Exit has some solid backing behind it, too. The team behind it is the same one behind The Dead Rabbit, which opened in 2013 and was named the best bar in the world just three years later by Drinks International.

There’s no exact opening date yet, but the bar should be a fun addition to the $5 billion entertainment district being built downtown on the side of the old Gulch. It will join tenants like Cosm, Wild Leap Brew Co., Shake Shack, Busy Bee Cafe, and Chops Lobster Bar, with a 5,000+-seat concert venue leased by Live Nation in the works as well.

Of all the errors from the MLS/AppleTV deal, killing local announcers was probably the worst.
