Thirsty? Atlanta has soccer bars, craft breweries, rooftop lounges, and a proper German beer garden all within walking distance of Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Here are the best spots to hit before, during, and after World Cup matches.
Soccer Bars
These are the real deal. Packed with passionate supporters, international flags on the walls, and TVs tuned to matches from leagues around the world. If you want the authentic soccer bar experience, start here.
Brewhouse Cafe (South Downtown)
Address: 89 Broad St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303
Opening: 2026 (weeks before World Cup)
Distance to Stadium: 15-minute walk via MLK Jr. Drive
The best soccer bar in America is opening a second location just in time for the World Cup. Men in Blazers named Brewhouse Cafe the top soccer bar in the U.S. in March 2025, and now they’re bringing that energy to South Downtown.
The original Little Five Points location has been Atlanta’s living room for soccer fans since 1997. Owner Humberto Bermudez built a community around early morning Premier League matches, World Cup watch parties, and the kind of atmosphere where strangers become friends over a shared love of the beautiful game. The new 3,200 square foot space will have a European pub design with more room to handle the World Cup crowds.
Brewhouse shows Premier League, MLS, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Champions League, and just about any other match you want to see. They also host NFL, college football, rugby, and cricket. During major tournaments, they open at 5am with multiple games on their 27 TVs. They’re an official Atlanta United pub partner, so expect serious Five Stripes energy here.
Original Location: 401 Moreland Ave NE (Little Five Points) remains open.
Fado Irish Pub
Address: 933 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309 (Midtown)
Hours: Mon-Wed 11am-11pm, Thu 11am-12am, Fri 12pm-2am, Sat 10am-2am, Sun 10am-10pm
Transit: 5-minute walk from Midtown MARTA station
Fado has been gathering soccer fans since 1996, and they take match days seriously. This is an official Atlanta United pub partner and home base for Manchester United Supporters Club Atlanta. They open early for international matches, so you can catch those 7:30am kickoffs with a proper breakfast and a pint.
The interior was designed and built in Ireland, then shipped to Atlanta for installation. It shows. The place feels authentically Irish without trying too hard. Their scratch kitchen serves solid pub fare including fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, and Guinness mac and cheese. The smoked salmon bites are worth ordering.
Happy hour runs 2pm to 7pm daily, which is longer than most bars in the city. Weekend brunch includes bottomless sangria if that’s your thing. Parking is available in the Metropolis deck behind the building with one hour validation.
Stadium Sports Bars
Close to the action with plenty of screens and the kind of game day atmosphere that gets louder as kickoff approaches.
Nest on Four
Address: 159 Northside Dr NW, 4th Floor (Signia by Hilton)
Hours: Daily 11am-11pm
Distance to Stadium: Steps away
Opened in 2024, Nest on Four sits inside the Signia by Hilton with floor-to-ceiling views of Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The entrance is off Andrew Young International Boulevard, and you can literally watch fans streaming toward the stadium while you finish your drink. You can also catch us doing prematch shows there on some game days!
This is an upscale sports bar, not a random dive bar. The circular halo display above the bar pays homage to the iconic Mercedes-Benz Stadium roof, and 30+ TVs ensure you won’t miss any gameโฆfrom any sport. The menu features chef-driven takes on stadium favorites: wagyu brisket totchos, lemon pepper wings, a BBQ smashburger, and an ATL Cobb salad have all been featured and when we say they’re outstanding, take it from the folks who do live shows there multiple times a year. The outdoor terrace also has skyline views that make for solid pre-match photos.
And the name? Obviously a nod to the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Hawks.
Park Bar
Address: 150 Walton St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303
Hours: Daily 11:30am-12am
Distance to Stadium: Short walk via Centennial Olympic Park
Park Bar is a neighborhood spot that happens to be next to Centennial Olympic Park and within striking distance of the stadium. It’s cozy, unpretentious, and has been a downtown favorite for over a decade. They’re an official U.S. Soccer bar, which makes them a natural fit for World Cup crowds.
The bourbon selection is impressive with over 50 options, and the craft beer list focuses on local brews. Food here is legit better than it needs to be for a bar. The steaks get consistent praise, and the wings would make any Atlanta joint proud. Ask about the “Irwin M. Fletcher steak sandwich” if you appreciate a good Fletch reference.
Their “3-2-1” special gets you three shots of top-shelf liquor for the price of two in a souvenir cup. They also have a spin wheel for prizes.
Breweries
Atlanta’s craft beer scene has exploded over the past decade. These breweries offer house-made beers you can’t get anywhere else, plus food menus and atmospheres that make them destinations in their own right.
New Realm Brewing
Address: 550 Somerset Terrace NE, Atlanta, GA 30306 (Atlanta Beltline)
Hours: Sun-Thu 11am-10pm, Fri-Sat 11am-11pm
Parking: $3 for 3 hours in shared lot
New Realm is the flagship Atlanta brewery experience. Located on the Eastside Beltline Trail in Old Fourth Ward, the space features a rooftop with panoramic skyline views, a beer garden, and multiple levels of seating. Brewmaster Mitch Steele came from Stone Brewing in California and brought serious credentials with him. His IPAs and Pilsners have earned the brewery a devoted following.
Beyond beer, New Realm operates as a full distillery producing vodka, gin, rum, and whiskey. The food menu goes well beyond typical brewery fare with wood-fired pizzas, their signature New Realm Burger, and rotating seasonal dishes. They host live music four nights a week, trivia on Tuesdays, and regular community events.
Dogs are welcome on the patios, and the whole place is family-friendly. It’s not close to the stadium, but if you have time to explore Atlanta beyond the World Cup bubble, this should be on your list.
SweetWater Brewing Company
Address: 195 Ottley Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30324 (Midtown)
Hours: Mon-Thu 11:30am-9pm, Fri-Sat 11:30am-10pm, Sun 11:30am-8pm
Tours: Available, book online
SweetWater is the brewery that sparked Atlanta’s craft beer renaissance. Founded in 1997, they’re now the largest independent craft brewery in the Southeast. Their 420 Extra Pale Ale is iconic, and you’ll find it on tap at bars across the city. But the taproom is where you get the exclusive stuff from the “Dank Tank” that really – if ever – makes it to distribution.
The brewery hosts Atlanta United watch parties, and the atmosphere gets loud during big matches. Beer & Comedy Night has been running since 2011, making it the longest-running brewery comedy show in the country.
The taproom has a full kitchen, multiple event spaces, and brewery tours that give you a behind-the-scenes look at their operation. If you only visit one Atlanta brewery, this is the one with the most history and local significance.
STATS Brewpub
Address: 300 Marietta St NW, Atlanta, GA 30313
Hours: Mon-Fri 4pm-10pm, Sat 11am-11pm, Sun 11am-10pm
Distance to Stadium: Short walk
STATS is the ultimate sports bar with a brewery attached. The 16,000 square foot multi-level space has over 70 screens and seven separate audio zones, so different groups can watch different matches without the sound bleeding together. An award-winning brewmaster runs the 10-barrel brewery on site, crafting IPAs, sours, lagers, and seasonal releases.
The signature feature is functioning beer taps built into select tables. Yes, you can pour your own beer at your table. The vibe is industrial-meets-chic, and the location puts you within walking distance of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Centennial Olympic Park, and State Farm Arena.
Food leans upscale pub with solid burgers, wings, and fish and chips. Note that they don’t open until 4pm on weekdays, which limits lunch options.
Wild Leap Atlanta
Address: 125 Ted Turner Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30303 (Centennial Yards)
Hours: Mon-Thu 11am-10pm, Fri-Sat 11am-11pm, Sun 12pm-9pm
Transit: 6-minute walk from Garnett MARTA station
Wild Leap was the first tenant to open at the massive Centennial Yards redevelopment, and they went big. The 15,340 square foot multi-level space sits steps from Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena in what used to be the old Norfolk Southern Railroad buildings.
The lower level opens to “The Canyon,” a subterranean pedestrian space that runs beneath the street. It’s unlike anything else in Atlanta. Upstairs, the design references the building’s railroad history with vintage details and a hidden speakeasy with a separate entrance.
Wild Leap started in LaGrange, Georgia and has expanded into a full craft beverage company with beers, spirits (vodka, rum, whiskey, gin), ready-to-drink cocktails, and wine. They have 96 taps total. The food menu includes elevated handheld items like smash burgers, hot chicken sandwiches, and loaded fries. Dogs are welcome on the patios.
Atlantucky Brewing
Address: 170 Northside Dr SW, Suite 96, Atlanta, GA 30313
Hours: Wed-Thu 12pm-10pm, Fri-Sat 12pm-12am, Sun 12pm-10pm (Closed Mon-Tue)
Distance to Stadium: Short walk
Atlantucky is owned by Grammy-nominated hip-hop group Nappy Roots. The name combines their Georgia and Kentucky roots, and the brewery reflects that Southern spirit. It’s one of the few Black-owned breweries in the country.
The two-story space in Castleberry Hill has an art gallery that rotates new artists every 45 days, event space for private parties, and a large outdoor patio. On tap you’ll find pale ales, IPAs, hefeweizens, stouts, and seasonal releases. The “Peach Believe Me” gets consistent praise from visitors who don’t usually drink beer.
Food includes paninis, pizzas, salads, and wings. Nappy Roots occasionally performs live, and the brewery hosts concerts and events throughout the year. Free parking is available across from the entrance.
German Beer Garden
Der Biergarten
Address: 300 Marietta St NW, 2nd Floor, Atlanta, GA 30313
Hours: Wed-Thu 4pm-9pm, Fri 4pm-9pm, Sat-Sun 12pm-9pm (Closed Mon-Tue)
Distance to Stadium: Short walk
Der Biergarten opened in 2010 and immediately filled a void in Atlanta’s drinking scene. Co-owner Wolfgang Hartert is a German native, and he made sure the place feels authentic. The 7,000+ square foot indoor/outdoor space has an elevated patio with string lights, foosball tables, and table shuffleboard.
They serve Bitburger, the official beer of the German national soccer team, along with 12+ other German beers on tap. The beer garden shows soccer matches including Atlanta United games and major tournaments. If Germany is playing during the World Cup, this is where their supporters will gather.
Food is traditional German: bratwurst, knackwurst, schnitzel, spaetzle, rouladen, giant soft pretzels with cheese sauce. The Wurstplatte lets you sample multiple sausages. Save room for apple strudel.
Rooftop Vibes
RT60 Rooftop Bar
Address: 348 Mitchell St SW (Reverb by Hard Rock, 11th Floor)
Hours: Check Reverb’s Facebook or Eventbrite for current hours
Distance to Stadium: Across the street
RT60 has the view. Located on the 11th floor of Reverb by Hard Rock, this rooftop bar sits directly across from Mercedes-Benz Stadium with unobstructed sightlines of the iconic roof and the Atlanta skyline behind it. It’s the best place to take in the scene before or after a match.
The space includes an indoor lounge and outdoor terrace. They bring in live music and DJs on weekends, and the atmosphere leans toward relaxed and social rather than rowdy sports bar. The menu focuses on cocktails, draft and bottled beer, wine (including Prosecco on tap), and shareable bites. The Charcuterie Pretzel is their signature item: a large hot pretzel stuffed with meats, cheeses, and veggies.
No reservations. Walk-in seating only. Gets busy on event days, so arrive early if you want a good spot on the terrace.
