The most recent live episode of Scarves and Spikes was a busy one, as we absolutely had to discuss the 5-2 trouncing of a Messi-less Inter Miami by Atlanta United. Tyler and Tommy held it down as Sydney was out for the day, and Tyler took a few moments to tell the full story of how he actually did, in fact, call the pizza place now made famous by Messi’s Instagram Story.
The guys were then joined by Lori Lindsey from Apple TV and MLS to discuss the match vs D.C. United. Lori is also the lead analyst for the NWSL over on CBS, and has been exceptionally busy in her broadcast career. A bit more info on Lori directly from MLS: She played 14 professional seasons and was a member of the U.S. women’s national team that played in the 2011 FIFA World Cup and helped the team to a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games. She is one of only five players to have played in all three women’s professional leagues, and she also just returned from working the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
