Another day of action across the North American continent awaits as nations from Groups K and L play out their second round of group stage matches.
Portugal and Uzbekistan kick things off at 1 p.m. ET in Houston, with the Portugese looking for a jump start after drawing their opening match 1-1 with DR Congo. Uzbekistan, meanwhile, are searching for an upset to claim their first World Cup points, sitting bottom of Group K after a 3-1 loss to Colombia. Check out our Uzbekistan preview here, who will play in Atlanta in their final group game this Saturday.
England look to keep the good times rolling at 4 p.m. following their big 4-2 result over Croatia, while Ghana earned a very late three points last week against Panama, scoring in the 95th minute to win 1-0. The English side will aim to secure their spot in the knockout round with another victory, and they’ll be heavily favored to do so in Foxborough.
Panama was only a few minutes away from their first World Cup point before Ghana’s late goal, and their next shot will be much more difficult as they meet a Croatia side looking for a bounce back performance from their loss to England. Kickoff from Toronto will be at 7 p.m. ET.
Finally, we round out the day with Colombia meeting DR Congo at 10 p.m. in Guadalajara. DR Congo are riding high from their first World Cup point and goal in a major result against Portugal, but will face another tough task against a Colombia side fresh off a 3-1 victory over Uzbekistan and seeking to extend their lead over Group K. Check out our DR Congo preview here, who will round out their group stage in Atlanta this Saturday.
