Rumor from Doyle:
https://bsky.app/profile/mattdoyle.bsky.social/post/3mdq6mjgnxc22
I was just thinking I need a recap of who’s in and who’s out, so I figured I’d make it:
Out:
Guzan (GK)
Cohen (GK)
Afonso (W)
Lennon (RB)
Sessock (RB)
Slisz (CDM)
Cobb (Loan to Purchase, CB)
Mosquera (Loan to Purchase, W)
Ashton Gordon (Loan, W)
In:
Hoyos (GK)
Jacob (RB/CB)
Baez? (LB/CB)
Cooper Sanchez (Homegrown, CM)
Santiago Pita (Homegrown, CAM)
Kaiden Moore (Homegrown, CB)
It does feel a little weird that we haven’t signed any decently expensive players (Jacob and assuming Baez would both be U22 and very cheap against the cap), given that we had some large chunks leave in Guzan, Lennon, and Slisz. I’m sure it’s more of an optics thing, but yeah.
Good recap.
Sounds like Henderson is signaling a couple more incoming players before the window closes. I’m assuming a veteran CDM and/or CB, and an attacking winger.
Kaiden Moore loaned out to Philly. Apparently he’s already been loaned out before to their 2 squad while with our 2s.
The last clause on the contract shown in the header for the article forbids the player “from getting too wild cheering with the Supporter’s Group”.
Don’t know why I find that funny. How wild is too wild?
Lmaooo
Aka the Josef Martinez celebration that almost torched him and the copious amounts of hair spray in his hair.
The contract also specifically prohibits the player from “jumping on the pyro boxes in celebration of a goal”. That’s probably known in-house as the Josef Clause.
